The second edition of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort in partnership with Swieqi United FC Coaching Seminar and Scouting Programme has ended but the testimonies behind the programme is ‘the talk of the town’.
The two days coaching seminar held at the mini conference hall, Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort had in attendance 56 football coaches while dignitaries and stakeholders mostly in football cycle in Oyo state were present at the opening event.
Speaking at the event, Chief Operating Officer, Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Prince Adesina Araoye welcomed Swieqi United FC delegation to Nigeria and also commended thier cooperation since the start of their journey which now had two Ilaji FC players, Abdullahi Busari and Temitope Ojo Abraham plying their trades in Malta. Prince Araoye noted that the entire Ilaji management under the Chairman/Chief Executive Office, Chief (Engr.) Dotun Sanusi had no regrets with the partnership.
In his own remarks at the occasion, President of Swieqi United FC of Malta, Mr Justin Fenech described their partnership with Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort as a divine connection which happened on a fateful day in Malta. He added that ever since the two parties have agreed to work together, it has been a smooth ride.
After the two days coaching seminar, football coaches present at the seminar showered praises on the management of Ilaji FC Hotel and Sports Resort for the program. Coach Babatunde Alimi Yussuf and Taiwo Darlington both commended the organizers and described the program as a good step in the right direction.
Ilaji FC manager and head coach Babatunde Odubola, however, thanked the C.E.O of Ilaji, Chief (Engineer) Dotun Sanusi for the development he has brought to sports, most especially football in Nigeria and for the capacity building to Nigeria football coaches.
Dignitaries present are; Oyo state commissioner for youth and sports Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, Oyo state sports council Chairman, Hon Gbenga Adewusi fondly called ‘Arole’, Mr Gboyega Makinde, ex international Mutiu Adepoju, and others.
