4 THINGS SPOTTED IN 3SC’ PRE-SEASON TRAINING AS TEAM PREPARE FOR NPFL23 SEASON

Shooting Stars are hoping to win their first piece of silverware under Gbenga Ogunbote ‘The Oracle’ this year, having finished 17th in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season and getting beaten at two finals of the pre-season tournaments last year September/November in the Gov Dapo Abiodun pre-season and Gold Cup Pre-season.

Shooting Stars’s preparations for next season are well underway, with Gbenga Ogunbote’s side returning to camping this week, Tuesday, August 23rd 2022 at the Dipo Dina International stadium, Ijebu Ode.

The Oluyole Warriors are due to face Daniel Ogunmodede’s Remo Stars, Nigeria National League, Ijebu United, NPFL22 second position Plataeu United while thier first pre-season friendly is lined up against Vandrezzer FC at 8:00AM tomorrow at Remo Stars stadium, Ikenne, Ogun state.

OyoSportsNews reliably gathered that Shooting Stars have already agreed a deal in principle to secure the services of John Dosu as assistant goalkeeper trainer while Gbenga Ogunbote’s ally Lawal Abimbola is no doubt a secured deal.

With pictures now emerging of the squad in their pre-season training – credited to Shooting Stars department, here are four things we spotted from the warriors’ latest session.

NEW COACH AND THE FEELINGS
OyoSportsNews’ Ogun state correspondent informed that the feelings in the camp is smooth and nice. The head coach has charged the players to be consistent, improve/up thier game and performance and remember that this is Shooting Stars not OyoSportsNews Football Club.

NEW BACKROOM STAFF
Coach Lawal Abimbola and goalkeeper trainer John Dosu were also spotted as the new member of the technical crew headed by ‘The Oracle’. Abayomi Adigun and Kola Ige are not left out.

NEW PLAYERS
As expected, a few number of new players were spotted via pictures released by Shooting Stars media department. OyoSportsNews also gathered that the camp still await the arrival of new faces and retained players.

NEW PHILOSOPHY

Every single coach is expected to have his/her style of play. OyoSportsNews, through the training session can confirm that the system has changed. No more words, just expect good football and positive results, though it may take few pre-season games, but sky is the beginning.

CLUB MANAGEMENT

Shooting Stars management under Hon Babatunde Olaniyan fondly called ‘Akoro’ is solidly behind the new technical crew. Ex international Dimeji Lawal and Administrative Secretary, Alhaji Rahman Olapade as far as OyoSportsNews is concerned are too wonderful. We can only ask for more.
