3SC WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART – YINKA POPOOLA ‘GULLIT’ PENS EMOTIONAL FAREWELL TO 3SC

Shooting Stars assistant coach Yinka Popoola also known as Gullit has admitted that he was ‘sad’ to leave the Oluyole Warriors after five years.

The Ibadan born football coach disclosed his departure on his Facebook page on Sunday morning [11:10AM] to fans, supporters, and lovers of the Oluyole Warriors.

Following five football seasons and years at the club after arriving from a grassroot club, his time at the technical bench with 3SC has come to an end today and would not be unveiled alongside new head coach Gbenga Ogunbote tomorrow.

OyoSportsNews exclusively gathered that the eloquent fitness coach no longer have valid contract with the club and hope to get his contract renewed fell on the deaf ears of the club management.

On his farewell post on Facebook, Gullit reflected on his five-year stint at Shooting Stars, a period of ups and downs, which saw him lift many trophies including the State Federation Cup, Dapo Abiodun Pre-season Cup, Governor Seyi Makinde Pre-season Cup, and most importantly the promotion ticket to the Nigeria Professional Football League under head coach Edith Olumide Agoye.

“My incredible 5-years journey with this SPECIAL CLUB – 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 (3SC), comes to an end today. I will be eternally grateful for the opportunity to have been associated with such a legendary club for so long. I will forever be appreciative for the opportunity I was given as a young hungry coach 5 years ago from the Club Academy.”

“It has been a joy to have worked with so many talented players, coaches, and employees .There are simply too many people to thank so I would just like to say it has been an absolute honour and a privilege to have worked with everyone in the 3SC Family. The memories and the friendships will last a lifetime. While I am sad to be leaving, I am also incredibly excited about the new challenges and projects that lie ahead.”
