Shooting Stars defender Omololu Waheed Abiodun has reserved special praise for former Shooting Stars boss Edith Olumide Agoye, saying he is one of the nicest people in football. Omololu described Agoye as a man with “two faces” — one of a father and one of the coach.
The Oluyole Warriors captain says he feels a deep affection for Edith Agoye after the way he has handled the team while bringing success, including the promotion ticket back to the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2021 and pre-season tournament trophies in 2020 and 2021.

It is with mixed feeling we received the news of your resignation today after a tensed season, though we all know the meaning of your job is hired and fired but the bonds we have created together is what we will value forever. Though the road was tough and rough but your resilient to weather the storm is a top notch that is worthy of emulation.
Eshin as you fondly call, no doubt you’re a sound coach that knows his onions, your tactical prowess really shows the stuff you were made of, that’s why you leave through the front door.
